Exam & Grades

University Grading System - The DHU system of grading is expressed in a 100-point based grade and letter grade. Their relationship with each other and 5-point grade points is listed in the following table.

Grade (X)

Letter   Grade

Grade Points (GPS)

85-100

A  or A+  - Excellent work

0.1X - 5

75-84.9

B  or B+  - Better than average

67-74.9

C   – Average

60-66.9

D   - Below average

Below 60

F   – Failing

0

Grade Point Average (GPA) – DHU uses a five-point grading scale in calculating GPA. Pluses and minuses do not affect the GPA calculation. In other words, a B- is worth the same as a B+.

Eligible credits calculated in GPA include all the credits including failed course(s), but excluding Pass/Fail Course(s).

GPA = Total Points of all courses¸Total number of eligible credits

Total Points of a course = credits of the course x GPS of the course

Grade Points (GPS) of a course= 0.1*Grade - 5
