Well-known Frensh economist, Prof. Michel Aglietta, visited Donghua University with the accompany of his assistant, Ms. Bai, Guo on April 23rd, 2013, 2013 Prof. Aglietta was invited by the Center of International Programs of International Cultural Exchange School (CIP-ICES) to give a seminar about his studies on global economics and sustantable growth of China. There are more than 200 intrnational students, primarily CIP students, and Chinee students join the event.
The whole seminar lasted for more than 3 hours. Prof. Aglitta introuced the global economic change in a smiple way so that every students can understand easily first. Then his assistant and his PhD student, Ms. Bai, Guo, discussed their research result on the sustainable growth in China. This research result is also published in both English and French. The questrion and answer sector push the event to a peak. endless questionss comes up from the students and make the whole seminar last one hour longer than planned. Prof. Aglietta is very patient and trying to answer every questions.
After the seminar, Prof. Aglietta and Ms. Bai, Guo visit the Donghua Textile Museum and have a meeting with Prof. Gu, Bohong the director of the interntional Cooperate Office and International Cultural Exchange School. On the meeting, Prof. Aglietta told Prof. Gu that he was impressed by the questions raised by Donghua Students and he liked them very much. And Prof. Gu invited him to visit Donghua again in the future.
