The Center of International Program (CIP) beat The College of Foreign Language (CFL) in the final round of the CIP third Annual Debate Tournament, held on May 20, 2014 at No.3 Teaching Building, Yan’an Road Campus.
In a 78%-71% decision, CIP won the championship against CFL. The teams debated on “Advertising is Harmful”. CFL took the Affirmative side, while CIP was on the negative side. Vivian, who was from CFL, was declared the final best speaker, while Max, who was from CIP, was declared as the tournament’s best debater.
CIP Annual Debate Tournament has been distributed since 2011 by Ms. Cecilia Mag-isa – Estoque who is English Program Coordinator. In this year, the event was organized by CIP office, Ms. Cecilia Mas-isa – Estoque and Center of International Program Student Association (CIPSA).
